First half of 2013

It's hard to believe that it's almost the end of June.  Where has this year gone.  So many thing have happened, and yet I don't feel like I've accomplished a single thing.

Learning about Walt's continued infidelity continues to be the front burner on everything I feel and do.  I want to know when this will stop.  It's exhausting.  Is he doing the things he shouldn't be doing, is he doing the things he should?  It's all so frustrating and at the same time, I find myself letting go more and more every day.  It's really not his fault, but it's my inability to forgive that pushes me away.

Jager's passing really hit me hard.  In the midst of his illness and ultimate death, we were in the process of moving.  I miss my little friend so much, and even though he never set one toe in this apartment, I look for him.  I have hung pictures of him everywhere as my reminder that that he's gone but never forgotten.

The apartment is everything I would dream of in an apartment.  I could honestly see myself living here alone.  There's plenty of room and it's quiet and clean.  We're all adjusting.  There's still so much I want to get for it to decorate, but it's coming together nicely.

I was hospitalized for almost two weeks with an abdominal thing that no one could diagnose.  I know the pain and nausea was very real, and I am so grateful to be feeling more like myself.  A few more days off of work to just make sure all is well, and then I'll be back into my old routine.

Wine tasting has been fun this year, and we've met some incredible people.  I look forward to more visits to our favorite wineries.

For now, I am hopeful for the second half of 2013.
