Memorial Weekend, already?

I'm pretty sure that looking at the weather outside, it CAN'T be the last weekend of May.  It's chilly, cloudy and rainy.  So what if it's Seattle.  I know, it rains here all the time.  But that's really not the truth and this time of year always proves to be pleasant. 

We're not planning a camping trip or heading to some fun destination.  We're actually planning a couple of short, day trips to explore our area a bit more.  I love the spontenaity of just driving to see something new.  We're breaking out the "Wierd Washington" book and see if we can cross some more places off the list.  I've heard a lighthouse is on the list of places to see....my favorite!

So as summer starts, the white clothes emerge, here are my favorite things about summer.....just cuz I can't think of anything else to say.....there's only so many ways to say "the weather sucks right now."

Flip flops, the beach, iced coffee, sun dresses, longer days, daisies, road trips, 4th of July, and iced-cold beer.
