I try hard not to be a snob.....or to judge people for their stations in life.
I am literally stuck in the ghetto motel, with the smell of a nasty ashtray, and scary people. I know that in the big picture this is all temporary, and in the near future, all this will be but a memory.
I am a snob and in the big picture, I know I am too good for this place. But there is no other place I can afford to be at this point. I am counting the days until I can be out of here.
On top of the room issue, I will have to be the keeper of the dogs while I am alone. I am not used to this. Sadly, I am not good at it. Walt has always been the zookeeper. What and how will I handle it? I'm not sure I want to know, and do not look foward to the day when Walt leaves for WA. I love my doggies and can't imagine life without them. But.....poop pickup, catbox and cleaning up puck is not my thing.....I will NEVER take Walt's willingness to do them for granted ever again.
I do get to work which will be how I keep my sanity. I love this job and that I am learning new things. I'm a little intimidated by the whole idea, but I am meeting new people and they are all so nice and helpful. I hope I can live up to the expectations they have and the ones I have for myself.
Having no car sucks. Thankgoodness our car will be done soon......then we won't have to rely on Walt's Mom. (although I am very grateful for her help)
Tomorrow I have my first post op appt. I get this awful and dirty bandage off my foot. Yay!! I hope that I can wear a full set of flipflops and NOT this awful shoe. It's ugly and I hate it. And I hope that doctor gives me the green light to start exercising again. That will help my stress level.....and make up for the lack of good eating I have had since moving here.
At least we have week two paid for this palace.....and I am glad to have a roof over my head.
Adventure......or am I a glutton for punishment?
Thank God for everything I am blessed with......and for the patience I am going to need to survive the next month or two.....
