week 3

We started week 3 of Weight Watchers on Saturday. I was only down 2 pounds, and although disappointed, thankful to have had a loss anyway.

I am finding it getting easier to stretch my hunger between meals, and I am not craving the bad foods as I had in the past. I really feel better even though there are no outward signs of the 8.8 pounds I've lost. I know that will come in time.

On Friday, I got a call from Tamara. She put me on the spot. I needed to be put on the spot. For weeks I had been avoiding her and dealing with the feelings that I'd been keeping inside. It was difficult, but I listened. A lot of the problems were ultimately my fault since I'd done so much avoidance. I should have dealt with the issues with her a long time ago, but I just don't deal with things as I have in the past.

I am grateful and relieved to have talked to her. We got a lot aired out, and I feel very good about it. She's good for me, and good for my life. I just lost my way, and couldn't find a way to tell her my feelings. I think she understands where things took a turn, and her own accountability in the riff between us. I want very much to be her friend, and I let her down. We worked through things, and I see us being better friends for it.

We went to Harald's for "game night" on Saturday and had such a great time. He's good people, and has such great friends. I look forward to doing it again.

Today I had to go and have a follow up mammogram. They had found something suspicious on the first set, and I ended up having an ultrasound as well. The good news is that it isn't anything more than a large cyst that will probably resolve itself and not cause any problems. I was so relieved. The LAST thing I need is something serious to go on with my health at this point. I finally feel good about my sugar levels, and other than the occasion migraine, I am doing great.

It was a good week.....and I know this week's weigh in will not be a disappointment. I am working harder at keeping on program, and eating all the points. I'm keeping a positive attitude.

Looking forward to this week: a short work week, double digit loss on Saturday, having my friend back in my life, getting another blanket knitted, spring....
