This time of year is so hard for me. All the lights, decorations, and cheerfulness is a reminder of those people who are no longer here. The holidays are for families and togetherness.....makes me very sad.

My family seem to catch on, as they try to distract me....and gather around me to help me forget why the holidays are not my favorite time of the year. God bless them. Some years are easier than others.....

Looking outside, one would think we were in Minnesota or Montana....it's a winter wonderland. Eww!! Makes our decision to move back to Vegas all that more definite.

I am hopeful for the new year. There will be lots of challenges and changes going on....we'll have to stay on our toes.

As we say goodbye to 2008, and I looking forward to a wonderful 2009....and I have the hopes that by the time the holidays come around again, I will embrace the season....and find the joy.
